Tour Description
Your day begins with pickup from your Port Douglas accommodation at around 8:20 am. However, if you are staying in Cairns or the Northern Beaches, a transfer can be arranged to meet in Port Douglas where you’ll join your tour guide and fellow passengers as you hop aboard your comfortable, air-conditioned 11 seat tour vehicle. Travelling towards Mossman Gorge, you will enjoy spectacular scenery, which will whet your appetite for what’s to come. At the gorge, you’ll partake in a stroll through towering trees and lush ferns, spotting birdlife along the way.
Next, you’ll head further north and cross the mighty Daintree River by cable ferry in order to get to the Daintree National Park. As you head towards the Northern section of the Daintree you’ll experience stunning views of the Coral Sea and the delta of the river, while heading over the Alexandra Range.
You’ll indulge in a scrumptious morning tea, before taking a 1-hour crocodile cruise on Cooper Creek. You'll have the chance to see a diverse range of native animal species, including birds, insects, mammals and – of course – estuarine crocodiles.
After your cruise, head to one of the local rainforest retreats for a delicious lunch, followed by the option of cooling off in one of the resort's swimming holes - time and weather permitting.
We begin our afternoon activities with a stop at the Daintree Ice Cream Company, where you can purchase a tropical fruit ice cream for your dessert.
You'll be guided on the many boardwalks, where you’ll see luch rainforest, creeks and wildlife in the oldest rainforest on earth.
At the end of your amazing tour, you’ll be escorted back to your Port Douglas accommodation arriving at around 5:15 pm or meet your transfer for the trip back to Cairns or the Northern Beaches.
