Kakadu National Park Tours

The infamous Kakadu National Park is one of the Northern Territory’s most treasured natural wonders. Located approximately 171 kilometres southeast of Darwin, this protected National Park is situated within the Alligator Rivers Region and covers a whopping 19,804 square kilometres (7,646 sq. mi), consisting of a 200 kilometre long and 100 kilometre wide expanse!

A visit to this World Heritage Listed site will allow you to explore vast tracts of scenic terrain, consisting of rugged cliffs, fertile gorges, impressive waterfalls, wildlife filled wetlands and desert oases. You will also be able to experience the spiritual ambiance that makes this location so precious to the traditional Bininj/Mungguy Indigenous owners.

With one of the highest concentrations of Indigenous rock art in the world, Kakadu is a cultural wonderland. Nourlangie Rock consists of a number of rock crevices carved out by Dreamtime ancestors, whereas Ubirr Rock is artfully decorated with images of the Rainbow Serpent and x-ray art. The Anbangang Gallery will introduce you to Lightning Man, as well as other Dreamtime figures, stone tools, ochre, grindstones and so much more. If you’d prefer to see some of the area’s wildlife, the monsoonal forests and wetlands are teeming with mammals, birds, fish, insects and reptiles (including crocodiles) – many endangered or protected.
