Hamilton Island Tours

The amazing tropical wonderland of Hamilton Island is the largest inhabited island of Queensland’s Whitsunday Islands, n the Great Barrier Reef. Its location – around 512 kilometres (318 mi) south of Cairns and 887 kilometres (551 mi) north of Brisbane – makes it the ideal stopover location for those travelling north to Tropical North Queensland, particularly seeing as though the island is easily accessible from its own airport.

There are so many things to do on Hamilton Island, from activities for active adventure seekers to those wanting to simply relax and indulge in this amazing tropical oasis. One of the best ways to see the Island is by sailing around its gorgeous perimeters, taking in the sunset views over nearby Whitehaven Beach. Of course, you’d be crazy to visit Hamilton Island without doing some snorkelling and scuba diving too – seeing the stunning diversity of sea life on the Great Barrier Reef is something that should be on everyone’s bucket list. Other water activities include water skiing, wind surfing, catamaraning, paddle boarding and kayaking.

For a different perspective of the Island and surrounding reef, a heli tour will give you a bird’s eye view of the beauty. Enjoy the novelty of playing a round of golf on the only Aussie 18-hole championship course located on an island, or enjoy a delicious seafood dinner at one of the Island’s excellent restaurants or cafés. Alternatively, you can just stroll along Catseye Beach or one of the many beautiful gardens, relax on the sundeck by a resort pool or just sit on the beach and watch the world go by!
