Caloundra is the Sunshine Coast’s southernmost city, located only 90 kilometres (55.9 mi) north of Brisbane. The city itself has a number of attractions for visitors to enjoy, with its strong maritime culture creating a plethora of opportunities for enjoying surf, sun and sand. A cruise along Pumicestone Passage is one way to enjoy the water, while Moffat Beach is the ideal location for a surf, bodyboard or swim. The rocky shoreline at Dicky Beach is perfect for fossicking for sea life, while a stroll along the Bulcock to Kings Beach boardwalk is the ideal way to spend the afternoon. The Kings Beach fountain and saltwater pool will keep the kids entertained for hours

Further afield, Steve Irwin’s famous Australia Zoo is a must-do when in the area and there’s also Aussie World (the location of the former Queensland version of the Ettamogah Pub), Underwater World and other attractions.
